What is the difference between black tea and green tea?
Bet your knowledge and answer Start the quizCorrect answer
The oxidation
Explanation
Green tea is "real" tea (Camellia sinensis) that has only undergone very little oxidation during production. Green tea is especially popular in China and Japan and has recently also become incredibly popular in the West, where black tea—consisting of tea leaves that have undergone more oxidation than green tea—has traditionally been consumed. Green tea is significantly lighter than traditional tea types such as Earl Grey, and it does not need to steep as long or at as high a temperature. Some studies have shown a correlation between the number of cancer cases and how much green tea people drink
