Confucius was a Chinese official and philosopher, also known under the names Confucius, Konfucius, Kon-fut-se, or Kung Fu-tzu. He lived in 551–479 BC, and the core of his philosophy is the importance of practicing practical moral values. His students published the ideas in print after his death. Confucianism is one of China's three classical religions/philosophies.
