In which city is the opera house Teatro alla Scala located?

Explanation

Milan is home to the world-famous opera house Teatro alla Scala, which is considered among the three best opera houses in the world. Conductors such as Arturo Toscanini and, today, Riccardo Muti have reigned here, and the theater also served as the home stage for the famous soprano Maria Callas. The film and theater director Luchino Visconti, 1906-1976, was born and raised in Milan. In the second half of the 1950s, he was responsible for a series of celebrated Scala productions featuring Maria Callas, who was also born and raised in Milan but lived and worked mostly in Rome.
